Purpose and goal:
The project examines the conditions for, and plans for, an innovation competition, the VWT Open Innovation Hackathon, during SMW 2025 with approximately 50 teams from different countries/regions. The goal is to create digital solutions to improve performance and competitiveness for Sweden and Singapore as key players in international trade, with an increased ability to handle disruptions and capture climate footprints. The innovation competition will be prepared together with Virtual Watch Tower (VWT) Communityn.
Expected results and effects:
The project is expected to establish the conditions for creating new digital innovations for an increased ability to manage disruptions and capture emission emissions in global supply chains. The project targets Vinnova´s priority area "Hållbar Mobilitet” as digital innovations developed through the innovation competition aim at increased sustainability in the transport system.
Approach and implementation:
The effort is orchestrated by RISE with support from Umeå University and Marine Benchmark on the Swedish side. On På Singapores´s side, Pier71, A*STAR, MPA and NUS are planned to be involved. Business Sweden in Singapore and the Swedish Embassy in Singapore will be invited. Swedish suppliers/innovators of technology services are involved in the competition.
