Purpose and goal: The project aims to build concepts around skills supply with a focus on getting more international students and researchers to stay and work in Sweden after completing their education.
The goal of Switch to Sweden is to increase the number of qualified matches between international, academic talents that are already in Sweden and recruiting companies. Through this, we increase Sweden´s competitiveness and attractiveness and contribute to ensuring a long-term competence supply to Swedish companies that develop technology within 6G.
Expected results and effects:
Through previous efforts within the project, we have developed concepts to get more international talents to stay in Sweden. So far, 280 companies and 1164 talents have participated, resulting in 241 matched meetings. We will continue to support companies with their skills supply and increase their competitiveness. The efforts will be broadened and will, for example, contribute to ensuring a long-term supply of skills to Swedish companies that develop technology within 6G.
Approach and implementation:
The project is led and run by Linköping Science Park, the actions are anchored through a national advisory board and a reference group of companies. The existing digital matchmaking platform will be further developed for qualified matches between international talent and Swedish employers. We will carry out a number of surveys to further increase the understanding of the target group. Efforts to strengthen companies ability to make use of international competence will be implemented.
