Application to Eurostars 3 - Development of reusable airbag system

Purpose and goal:

The purpose of the planning grant is to achieve, together with the German company Minerva Airbag System, a competitive Eurostars proposal that supports Cocoon´s objective to develop and test a production prototype that validates the product´s functions. With Minerva as our partner in the project, our development capacity will be strengthen and this will enable us to complete the necessary technological advances to reach a faster commercialization of the product.

We will work with the expertise from GAEU Consulting, who will advise us on the project design and writing the proposal. Expected results and effects:

We expect to reach significant TRL advancements, and through the demonstration of the cyclical supply chain, the Eurostar project will directly support commercialisation of the Cocoon System. Deliverables will be documentation, Computer Aided Engineering files, and a prototype ready for CE-certification (TRL 8-9).

The result is a deepened collaboration with the Minerva Airbag System and a strengthened development with significant TRL progress. We also hope that the collaboration can lead to new patentable solutions that can increase Cocoon´s competitiveness in the future. Approach and implementation:
