Purpose and goal:
The overall aim of the project is to prepare a competitive application to MSCA-DN call. The training aim of the project is to develop a training programme to bridge the educational gap in the realm of ocean waves within the Earth system. In addition, we will develop 15 research projects for PhD students to advance our comprehension of the role of ocean waves in the Earth system, with a specific emphasis on their impact on energy and mass transfer, oceanic extreme events, climate change, offshore wind energy, and pollution.
Expected results and effects:
The overall aim of the project is to prepare a competitive application to MSCA-DN call. To achieve the aim, we will 1) develop an excellent research plan about the role of ocean surface waves in the earth system, 2) develop a unique training programme for educating the new wave generation, and 3) develop a plan for amplifying the impact of the project.
Approach and implementation:
Through the project, we will prepare a competitive MSCA-DN proposal. The expected results include 1) an excellent research plan composed of 15 PhD project ideas which address critical knowledge gaps about waves in the earth system, 2) a unique training programme for PhD students in the wave field, and 3) a plan for amplifying the impact of the project, including a comprehensive plan for dissemination, engage with potential stakeholders, and incorporate sustainable elements into our training programs.
