Grant Description

Purpose and goal:

The application "NEXRUR: NEXt generation sustainable business models and monitoring for RURal resilience and innovation" passed stage 1 in the call "New sustainable business and production models for farmers and rural communities" - in Area A. The goal of this project was to write a highquality proposal for stage 2 and especially for the work package for which RISE is responsible for.

If granted, NEXRUR aims to develop the next generation of business models for agricultural businesses to improve their social, economic and environmental sustainability. Expected results and effects:

The grant contributed to a high-quality proposal in stage 2 of the call. The main project is expected to lead to research and co-innovation that helps agricultural businesses improve their social and environmental performance and their position in the value chain - which in turn leads to higher profit.

Approach and implementation:

The proposal was led by a consulting firm and the coordinator. RISE was a work package leader and thus mainly contributed to that work package, but was also active in several other work packages, part of the core team for the application and also provided many comments on the entire proposal. The proposal was submitted in time.
