Encapsulated biobased pesticided, planning grant

Purpose and goal:

In a European consortium consisting of 12 different partners, we have submitted a proposal to the call for proposals HORIZON-JU-CBE-2024-RIA-03.

In short, the project involves extracting macroalgae and using the extract as a pesticide for harmful fungi in plant cultivation.

The project group has expertise in crop cultivation, chemical extraction and analysis, microbiology, material chemistry, ecotoxicology, sustainability analyses, regulatory issues, business development, finance and communication. Expected results and effects: Proposal was submitted and will now be evaluated.

If the outcome is positive, the project can start at the beginning of May 2025. It will last for four years. Approach and implementation:

During the project duration of this support project, we had regular meetings with the entire proposal consortium. A positive lesson was that there were three of us from the main applicant, RISE, who shared the coordination work together.
