Purpose and goal:
Our goal is to combine cutting-edge approaches to create a detailed map of the interactions mediated by short linear motifs (SLiMs) in proteins encoded by cancer proteins. This map will include comprehensive information on phenotypic effects of mutations in order to understand the functional significance and therapeutic potential of these interactions. The results will help us identify the wiring of the interactome as well as new potential therapeutic targets
Expected results and effects: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
With support of Vinnova, we will complete an ERC proposal that will hopefully provide funding for this ambitious and innovative project. Provided we get this funding, the project will provide completely new insight into the interactions that take place in our cells, and identify new objective for drug development.
Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **
The project is based on pioneering methods developed by the four participating groups. The methods are specifically developed to map, quantify, disrupt and inhibit motif-based interactions on a large scale. With support of Vinnova, we will complete an ERC proposal to cover the costs of this large-scale project.
