Accelerating the industrial production of a new generation of iron sources

Purpose and goal:

Apply for EIC Accelerator grant in the subject area of “Food from precision fermentation and algae”. This is an identified challenge for 2024 in the EIC Programme.

The objective of the main project is scaling up production of our innovative iron proteins together with an industrial partner. The upscaling will use the chosen production platform (fungi or bacteria). Expected results and effects:

A complete EIC Accelerator application, written together with our industrial partner, with supporting legal documents. To be successful with the application we must be able to produce a project plan that can clearly demonstrate that we will be able to scale up our production to match market needs. Approach and implementation:

The project is composed of three work packages (WPs).

In WP1, we will plan the EIC application, together with the partners, including the scope and ownership of the results. As a result, we will have a formal project agreement.

In WP2, we will set up the project including milestones, deliveries, roles and responsibilities. The result will be a project plan that is agreed on with all parties as well as the budget and legal documents. In WP3, we will have the written application, with all documents and parts required by EIC Accelerator.
