Production Innovation Evaluation (PInnoE)

Purpose and goal:

The proposed project intends to evaluate production innovation by analyzing the granted research and innovation projects in the strategic innovation program Produktion2030. The evaluation is carried out through measurement and interviews, based on a previously developed tool. It aims to capture different aspects of innovation in each project and includes both technical and organizational innovation. Overall, the effect the program will be evaluated with regard to production innovation.

Expected results and effects:

Overall, the effect the program will be evaluated with regard to production innovation. Aspects covered in the tool are decision support for the organization, production materials, production method, production process, quality control, technology, tools that the project has resulted in. The evaluation is supplemented with communication of results and forward-looking activities to make use of lessons and experiences from Produktion2030 for future similar development programs (for example Impact Innovation or Advanced digitalisation).

Approach and implementation: Planned activities: 1. Further develop and apply the "production innovation assessment" tool in Produktion2030 R&I projects. 2. Data collection. 3. Analysis of results. 4. Planning and reporting of results in relation to previous activities within "production innovation".

5. Communicate results according to guidelines from the program management for Produktion2030 to steering group, R&I council and to ongoing and completed project.
