Grant Description

The goal of the Cross-Disability Inclusion Program is to ensure that all children in Georgia realize their human rights as outlined in the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child.

The program will promote the right of a child to develop physically and spiritually in a healthy and normal way, with his/her family, regardless of their physical or mental disabilities.

The program will strengthen the advocacy role of Disabled Persons Organizations (DPOs) and family organizations: increase the capacity of all actors to better understand the issues and rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs); and increase the ability of healthcare practitioners, social and healthcare policymakers to ensure appropriate services for PWDs.

Monitoring and evaluating mechanisms will be established under this new two year program.
