Strengthening the Capacity of Indigenous Organizations

The overall objectives are: at least five selected indigenous peoples' organizations in the Amazon region demonstrate improved capacity to manage financial resources and improve their ability to take ownership of their own development planning and priorities. To this end, the Recipient will design a set of activities under three results areas: 1.

Organizations demonstrate strengthened institutional capacity using predefined benchmarks. 2. Organizations successfully manage and implement a small grant activity. 3.

One resource is generated that can be shared with other organizations supporting human rights of indigenous peoples facing infrastructure development on their lands across the Amazon region.
