USAID South Kivu Food Security Project

FFP supports a USAID Implementing Partner to conduct development activities in eastern DRC that aim to increase food, nutrition, and income security among poor and extremely poor households, while simultaneously promoting programs that reduce participants susceptibility to future economic and environmental shocks.

To do this, the Implementing Partner is helping households increase farming productivity; working with market actors to engage the most vulnerable while providing essential market functions and alternative off-farm opportunities; and harnessing womens access to control over income and household decision-making.
