Grant Description
Under the APHIS Greater Caribbean Safeguarding Initiative (GCSI), APHIS in conjunction with its implementation partner, the University of West Indies conducted a two-week training of Plant Quarantine Officers for representatives of countries in the greater Caribbean region. This training was part of the annual workplan for GCSI activities.

The objective of this activity was to train a cadre of Caribbean plant quarantine officers to gain an operational understanding and use of standardized practices and procedures to conduct safeguarding activities in their countries.
