The objective of this project was to provide participants with the latest strategies for the identification, response and control of citrus greening disease. Citrus greening disease affects trade of fresh citrus fruits.
It is present on some countries in the Americas, including the U.S., and heavily regulated by those countries that have not reported the disease yet.
This workshop was composed of an exchange of information between plant health specialist of countries that have reported the disease and countries that have not reported the disease.
The participants discussed proper mitigation strategies to reduce the risk of greening on fresh citrus fruits and learn about management and control measures that have been working in countries affected by the disease.
