Grant Description

As a result of expanding trade and tourism industries in the Caribbean, this area has long been recognized as a stepping stone for pests to enter the United States, especially via Florida.

APHIS has supported the training and re- training of the members of The Department of Food and Agriculture at the University of the West Indies for the last 2-years, so that the much needed diagnostic and information services for the region can be supported and improved.
