Grant Description

APHIS IS and Plant Protection and Quarantine coordinated and assisted with conducting the 5th meeting of the Caribbean Plant Health Directors Forum in the British Virgin Islands from August 14th 16th 2012. The forum was comprised of 26+ countries and includes discussions on the plant health priorities in the region.

This meeting was conducted by USDA APHIS GCSI , in collaboration with the CARICOM Secretariat, the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI), CAB International (CABI), , CARICOM, FAO and the Department of Agriculture, British Virgin Islands.

At the end of September the CIASnet website would be re-launched to include to the CPHD Logo, mission and vision statement and the Charter.
