Grant Description
Ukraine Table Top Exercise - a total of two VS subject matter experts (SMEs) implemented a Table Top Exercise in Kyiv, Ukraine. VS SMEs were requested from the National Center for Animal Health Emergency Management.
The objective of the activity was to use the exercise as a tool that can identify gaps and strengths in planning, policy making, and capabilities in the Ukraine veterinary infrastructure.
Specifically, Ukraine veterinary officials want to assess their current veterinary epidemiological processes for animal disease prevention and control strategies.
Results of this exercise will form the basis of additional USDA capacity building activities in Ukraine. 2 APHIS SMEs with expertise planning and implementing table top exercises for emergency response attended the meeting
