Grant Description

The objective of this visit was to continue capacity building in the areas of fruit fly trapping and record keeping in support of the Mango pre-clearance program.

APHIS/IS and PPQ conducted the second trip to Haiti to provide guidance and assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture on their trapping and record keeping obligations under the Mango pre clearance program.

The work supported under the FAS PASA agreement with USAID, is the second of several trips planned during the next several months in an effort to enable Ministry Officials to fulfill obligations as outlined in the preclearance workplan for Haiti mangoes. .
