Grant Description

Haiti has established active surveillance for the Mediterranean fruit fly (Medfly), which established in the neighboring Dominican Republic (DR) in early 2015.

The Medfly has spread from the point of introduction in the eastern part of the DR halfway across the country, toward Haiti.
