Grant Description

This initiative came out of the 2015 AGOA forum as a request for technical assistance.

Based on the information provided by the Government of Mauritius, APHIS provided informational awareness to assist their decision making on how to go forward with planning to use irradiation.

The objective of the forum was to increase understanding and use of irradiation as a phytosanitary treatment to enhance global trade and prevent invasive pests.
