Grant Description

The NPPO of Chile (SAG) requested a site visit to the Lobesia botrana eradication program in California. The delegation included both representatives from SAG (2) and the Chilean industry (3). The SAG delegation observed all aspects of this successful regulatory program. This request was made at the US/Chile Bilateral Technical Discussions in March 2012.

SAG hopes to show industry that eradication of Lobesia botrana can be successful but only with industry support. They are hopeful they can apply what APHIS has learned, in Chile.
