Grant Description

APHIS assisted in conducting the survey for Tuta Absoluta in Antigua and Tobago.

The Agricultural Scientist, by the request of the Ministries of Agriculture in both Tobago and Antigua, visited these countries to assist with the survey of Tuta Absoluta.

These 2 Caribbean Countries, in particular, suffer from a lack of resources, especially well trained man power and field equipment to adequately conduct a survey of this magnitude. Therefore it became necessary, in order to have to survey competed in time for the 5th CPHD, that assist be given.

To assist the Tobago House of Assembly and the Department of Agriculture in Antigua in conducting the survey for Tuta Absoluta.
