Grant Description

Biotechnology Regulatory Services participated in US-Japan Biotechnology Roundtable Discussions in May, 2012. BRS joined FDA and EPA officials for this FAS-led event.

Discussions were held on each countrys biotechnology regulatory systems and global trends in agricultural biotechnology development. The delegation traveled to Japan and South Korea during the week of May 21, 2012.

The objective of the program was to share information on biotechnology regulation with Japanese counterparts in order to further understanding of biotechnology regulations.
