Grant Description

Wildlife Disease Surveillance in China is underway with work conducted by collaborators.

WS collaborated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese State Forest Administration to sponsor a regional wildlife disease symposium in Suzhou, China on July 6, 2012. WS and CAS conducted a wildlife disease training activity for SFA staff in USA during September. WS participated in the wildlife disease symposium in Suzhou, China.

WS met with China CDC to discuss areas for potential collaboration. The work is being directed by collaborators at CSU.

Graduate students from Bogor University are completing their findings of surveillance activities for avian influenza in live-bird markets.
