Grant Description
The workshop was organized by USAID in collaboration with USDA-APHIS-IS.
The program aimed to strengthen the capacity of border veterinary services to ensure safe trade of animal goods in implementing science based rules and principles relating to inspection and certification enacted by the OIE and WTO.
The Presentations and demonstrations focused on International principles and rules regarding Inspection and certification, Country experiences, US Experience, visits and demonstrations at Paga border and the Airport of Ouagadougou and the Harmonization program of veterinary certificates for poultry and poultry products in West Africa implemented by FAO/ECTAD.
