This workshop aims to strengthen the capacity of countries to improve surveillance, early detection, prevention and control of 6 major Transboundary Animal Diseases (TADs), namely: Peste des Petits Ruminants, Rift Valley Fever, Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia, Foot-and-Mouth Disease, Newcastle Disease and Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza.
The workshop will be held in Banjul (The Gambia) The content of the workshop is based on practical tools for the surveillance, diagnosis, prevention and control of these diseases.
The format consists of a mix of presentations and practical demonstrations of the collection, packaging and processing of specimens at the laboratory.
This workshop is designed for epidemiologists and laboratory technicians of 5 countries (Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana & Nigeria).
