Workshop held in Brazil to present the application of Incident Command System (ICS) elements in response to animal disease outbreaks to an audience of Veterinary Services of South American countries.
Representatives from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, and Surinam participated. The activity included a poultry disease outbreak response exercise. University of Delaware staff participated in the training.
The training enhanced the capability of regional professionals to coordinate a response to animal disease outbreaks applying the principals of the ICS.
