Grant Description

The United States and other partners announced this initiative at the 2002 World Summit for Sustainable Development in Johannesburg.

The goals of the Partnership are to improve the health, livelihood and quality of life of people in developing countries who suffer from exposure to indoor air pollution from household energy use.

Activities include: indoor air pollution and household energy monitoring workshops; third biannual partnership forum and scale up pilot projects. Awardees: Winrock, CEIHD, Cadmus, CAREI China, GAIA Ethiopia, EWW Ghana, AKF Pakistan, CDSE Bolivia.
