Grant Description

Cooperative Agreement with the Institute for Governance & Sustainable Development (IGSD) to support the Seaport Environmental Security Network (SESN).

The objectives of SESN are to increase awareness, build capacity, and promote enforcement cooperation and exchanges in order to enhance the ability of the worlds ports to stop illegal shipments of hazardous waste, by providing practical tools for inspectors at the ports and improving cooperation among the government bodies responsible for environmental screening at ports, which will foster closer international cooperation to deal with illegal trade.
