Grant Description

The purpose of the project is to fund the World Health Organization's International Program on Chemical Safety, which manages the Joint Meeting on Pesticide Residues (JMPR), an on-going process of consultations of experts in developing methodology and assessing risks of individual pesticides.

Results of this process are widely accepted in both developed and developing countries and are used by the Codex Alimentarius in setting maximum residue limits (MRLs) for foodstuffs in international commerce. 2. The grant will also be used to support SAICM Lead in Paint efforts.
