The project will build upon phase one activities.
It will withdraw approximately 1,200 children from exploitative labor through a range of interventions including rehabilitation services such as non-formal education, vocational training and counselling; linkages with local medical and community services; and access to income generating opportunities for about 1,000 adult family members.
The project will also aim to prevent at least 3,500 children from starting work through awareness raising, community mobilization, and the provision of non-formal and vocational education for at risk children.
It will seek to enhance the capacity of public and private partners and concerned agencies at all levels (national and local, institutional, organizational, community), to prevent and progressively eliminate child labor, and will facilitate creation of a community-based child labor monitoring system. - Through International Labour Organisation.
