Grant Description

This program will support the effective participation of Panama in the International Labor Organizations International Program on the Elimination of Child Labor Program (ILO-IPEC).

The program will assist Panamanian authorities in implementing their obligations under ILO Convention No.138 on Minimum Age for Admission to Employment and ILO Convention No.182 on the Worst Forms of Child Labor, including the development of a national plan of action to combat the worst forms of child labor.

The program will involve the withdrawal of 1,000 children from hazardous labor activities and the prevention of another 3,000 children from entering exploitative child labor situations. - Through International Labour Organisation.
