Kashmir is one of the most Internet censored regions in the world.
Analysing the Internet as an infrastructure in Kashmir is a critical entry point to understand the region, where securitisation dominates life.
Through ethnographic and historical methods, I will study people's everyday lives to foreground the dynamics of Internet regulation in the region.
Kashmir forces us to revisit our ideas of infrastructures as invisible backgrounds to modern life and reveals ruptures to the notions of a deterritorialised world.
