"5G communication system is excepted to support a variety of media-centric use cases, such as healthcare[1], video delivery[2] and virtual reality (VR)[3]. However, these services require different networks to support them and emphasize different network performance. This is illustrated in Fig. 1. In Fig. 1, different 5G use cases emphasize different network features and require different network
paradigms[4]. Network Slicing is a key technology enabler for supporting such use cases in the 5G and even 6G communication systems. By promoting
the isolation of network resources and electively providing multiple logical networks over a shared infrastructure, it allows offerings with different assurances to groups of users and services in a cost-effective way[2]."
