Power converters are usually one of the most fragile parts of modern wind energy conversion systems and cause high downtime and maintenance costs in offshore wind systems.
This project aims to propose solutions for accurate and efficient modelling of the reliability of power converters in an offshore wind farm, and then aims to use these models for active reliability enhancement of the power converters, as well as active maintenance management in offshore wind farms.
