The aim is to investigate magnetic and electronic transport behaviour of thin- film multilayered systems for magnetic field, temperature and stress sensing applications and to develop device-like structures that incorporate the latest spintronics physics to investigate and optimise sensing functionality for applications such as distributed magnetic field and current sensing networks.
The research will involve controlling and optimising magnetisation reversal behaviour, magnetisation dynamics and electronic transport in lithographically patterned spintronic layered systems on rigid and flexible substrate enabling integration with conventional BEOL CMOS processing and for flexible electronics applications.
