This doctoral project proposes using feminist ethnographic research to explore the perception, impact and structures of trauma-informed practices within women's prisons.
This project aims to undertake an examination of both the prisoner's and the prison officer's perceptions of trauma[1]informed practices and therapies.
It will look at the experiences of young women in particular, whilst taking an intersectional approach, with consideration to characteristics such as race, disability and sexuality.
