Grant Description

Aims to investigate the influence of dark patterns on the behaviour of consumers of online gambling.

By examining the multiple components underlying the impact of dark patterns in gambling, whether some vulnerable groups are more at risk to than others, and in describing legislative and policy-facing changes to protect consumers, this research will provide important new evidence in a growing area of concern.

My prospective supervisor is Dr. Jamie Torrance, under secondary supervision of Dr.

Simon Dymond, with whom I have developed a personal and working relationship during my time working under him as a research assistant.
