Quantum dots for use in producing second-generation single-photon emitters for sensing and metrology. This PhD project will focus upon the development of compact, room temperature operational single-photon emitters.
This will be achieved through the use of solution-processed quantum dot nanoparticles and an innovative spray-on aerosol jet deposition technique.
This project focuses upon leveraging fundamental quantum principles to develop practical second-generation quantum devices for use within a range of quantum applications, with a specific focus upon sensing and metrology.
