Integrating Actions on Air, Climate, and Health: Building Consensus and Advancing Research on Health Effects of Black Carbon

We will conduct a systematic review of the health effects of black carbon (BC), including the exposure-response relationship between BC exposure and a broad range of health outcomes as well as summarize the current and past policies/strategies in several key sectors that contribute to BC reduction and their health impacts.

We will also leverage WHO’s existing technical infrastructure and upcoming global conference on air pollution and health to showcase the latest evidence and create a shared research agenda and action plan to address the combined challenges of air pollution and climate change and protect public health.
