Grant Description

Sector: maize and rice.Beneficiaries: 1,237 smallholder farmers (725 male and 512 female).Summary: The project will provide BACE with farm equipment and production inputs to allow farmers open more land as well access improved seed and agro-chemicals; working capital to enable the cooperative bulk produce and attract big buyers who can pay better prices; processing facilities in terms of infrastructure and machinery to add value to maize and rice and expand market opportunities for processed products.
