Laafi La Touma Cowpea Expansion Project

Sector: Cowpeas, sesame, sheep fattening Beneficiaries: 616 (350 women) Description: The project is proposed to expand activities to improve members' yields and ability to market sesame and cowpeas and expand sheep fattening activities for women for income generation.

This includes training in improved production methods, access to improved seeds, inputs and production equipment; improved storage and marketing infrastructure and practices; revolving funds for sesame, cowpea and animal fattening production activities; and literacy training to improve members' abilities to manage their activities.
