Grant Description

In July 3, 2000, on the eve of President of China Jiang Zemin's official visit to Tajikistan, 31 buses were dispatched to Dushanbe from China. The buses had been provided under free technical aid (10m yuans).

An official ceremony for handing over the buses was 4th July, with the participation of the Chinese government's official delegation. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
