Grant Description

Kushe Milk Producers Cooperative Society (KMPCS) is a registered cooperative society located in Kushe Village, a rural community in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The 261 members are low-income Fulani pastoralists engaged in dairy production.

KMPCS sells raw milk to the Kaduna Federation of Milk Producers Cooperative Association (MILCOPAL), a milk processing organization in Northern Nigeria.

MILCOPAL wants to buy more raw milk from KMPCS to meet local demand for processed milk, but KMPCS lacks the capacity to provide MILCOPAL with enough raw milk.

To capitalize on this market opportunity, KMPCS needs to improve on the quality and quantity of its milk, install better infrastructure and cooling system, procure more livestock and improve on its skills.
