Grant Description

Kagarko Dairy Producers Cooperative Society (KDPCS) is a registered cooperative society located in Maganda Village, a rural community in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The 279 members are low-income Fulani pastoralists engaged in dairy production.

KDPCS sells raw milk to the Kaduna Federation of Milk Producers Cooperative Association (MILCOPAL), a milk processing organization in Northern Nigeria.

MILCOPAL wants to buy more raw milk from KDPCS to meet local demand for processed milk, but KDPCS lacks the capacity to provide MILCOPAL enough raw milk.

To capitalize on this market opportunity, KDPCS needs to improve on the quality and quantity of its milk, install better infrastructure and cooling system, procure more livestock and improve on its skills.
