Grant Description

China signs MoU for loan of $200 million to Nepal for infrastructure development In November 2009, The Chinese EximBank signed a memorandum of understanding with Nepal for a 200 million USD loan for infrastructure development.

One of the projects to fall under this loan is the 61 MW Upper Trishuli hydropower project in the Nuwakot district (#53716). It is also funding 75% of the 750 MW of West Seti, which is the largest hydropower plant in Nepal.
