China Development Bank pledges $75 million loan for Waste Water Infrastructure for Greater Hambantota Project On November 13, 2013, a joint venture (JV) of China Textile Industrial Corporation for Foreign Economic and Technical Corporation (CTEXIC), China Machinery TDI International Co Ltd (TDI) and China Machinery Industry Construction Group Inc. (SINOCONST) was appointed to design, build and finance the Waste Water Infrastructure for Greater Hambantota Project.

The project involves the construction of a wastewater treatment disposable system in Hambantota, Southern Province, Sri Lanka. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
