Grant Description

MARAS 93, a farmers cooperative in the department of San Miguel that produces and markets coffee certified as organic, will offer its members training and technical assistance to improve the quality of their coffee, strengthen their organization and ensure that their agricultural methods are environmentally responsible.

MARIAS 93 will also improve the financial and administrative skills of its cooperative; incorporate the control of coffee rust in its technical assistance for farmers; develop its tourism program by constructing infrastructure and training young adults to offer services; and include persons with disabilities in its poultry farming.
