Grant Description
Training midlevel agriculturalists on various agriculture-related topics, such as sustainable agriculture, plant and animal health, food safety,agricultural policy and trade, agribusiness management, and marketing.
The objectives of the training are to help countries meet their domestic food needs as well as enhance trade links with U.S. agricultural interests.
In FY09, approximately 395 individuals received such training, resulting in a better understanding of science-based agricultural regulatory systems as well as increased technical capacities in their home countries.
