Grant Description

EL BLSAMO will work with farmers in Cuisnahuat, Sonsonate, to revitalize the organic cultivation of indigo. Farmers will improve their indigo crop and process it into dye to market.

They will also produce organic fertilizer and pesticide for their own use and for sale and develop their management and marketing skills as a cooperative.

EL BLSAMO will also improve its processing infrastructure and offer other support to farmers participating in its project to revitalize the organic cultivation of indigo in Cuisnahuat, Sonsonate.
